Oatmeal in the oven is one of the best ways to do it!
The great thing about this oatmeal on the Amish method is that it fits all the above categories. This is a nutritious breakfast filled with fiber and adequate protein (if you serve it with lots of milk).
Not much fat, especially after being divided into 8 servings (and sometimes I want to try it with coconut oil versus butter, but oh, how I love you!).
This is the breakfast that my whole family can agree with, so sweet that I can eat it and enjoy it (instead of crushing it, like some healthy foods you can find). This is my really new favorite way!
Baked Oatmeal is a unique kind of oatmeal, with a feel and taste unlike any microwave, cook, multi-cooker, or instant-copy I've tried. So, finally, oatmeal, which contains some makeup!
This is not just children's food porridge that slides out of your spoon. This material keeps its shape! We are going places people. The bonus is very easy to carry out and if you want, you can even cook it the night before and put it in the oven the next morning.
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter , melted (I used salted)
- 3 cups rolled oats (quick oats works fine too)
